lyrics

I've been around a bit here and there. I don't claim to know but you don't seem to care. I heard that you roamed the streets all your life and I been alone here at home all of mine. I'm hoping you could show me the way. Lead me along and we'll leave here someday. I won't slow you down or hurry you up. I'll wait for your signal and that'd be enough.

Say what you say, do what you do, go where you know, and I'll follow you. I've been trying to get out but I don't know the ropes. If I had you here I know we'd have the road.

I spend the day just pondering life, wasting away thinking what it'd be like to know who you are, to love where you were, to not feel ashamed and to know what you're worth. I think of you, the places you've been, all that you've done and the things that you've seen. I wish I was there, along for the ride. It'd be a dream just to be by your side.
